The 11th and 12th grade Intensive Science Classes have been doing a runoff project that entails measuring and calculating the amount of storm water runoff we get during certain weather events.  Students began by measuring and calculating the roof run off.  Eventually they worked up to taking intense measurements that included rainwater runoff on the entire middle school/high school campus.

The annual tradition continues at Onteora Middle School.  Middle school teachers have organized a double-barrel campaign to help restock the Food panty at Family of Woodstock.  During November and continuing through most of December, middle school students and staff are contributing dollars to purchase turkey feathers.  The feathers purchased at $1 apiece “dress” the turkey, which is displayed in the main hallway across from the middle school office. All proceeds help purchase food items for the pantry.
