The mentors provide students with support through weekly meetings and activities beginning in 9th grade and continuing, in most cases, through graduation.
The OTA sponsored mini-grant gave TUFS participants the opportunity to bond and enjoy each other’s company through bowling. Students and teachers created bowling teams and cheered each other on. We celebrated our scores with pizza.
Each quarter the twenty-four TUFS members meet as a group. This helps students to connect positively with peers and staff. The OTA mini-grant offered the TUFS members the opportunity to develop as a group, which increased students’ positive connections to school. Thanks to the OTA our students had a wonderful time!
