Woodstock Primary School Fosters a Love for Science

The Woodstock Primary School held its annual science fair on March 28, 2014.  Each grade level created a designated type of project.  Kindergarten created scientific collections; first grade made scientific displays; second grade constructed scientific models; and third grade conducted scientific experiments.  The projects filled the cafeteria and the gymnasium, giving our school the feel of a science museum.  This year we had more than 200 students contribute a project to the evening fair, nearly the entire school population!  The projects were very impressive, from jelly bean collections (flavors labeled) to displays featuring types of rocks, to models of Overlook Mountain, to experiments testing the effects of brushing on a horse’s heartbeat.  The evening event was filled with families who felt the excitement in the air.  The love of science is alive and well at Woodstock Primary School.
