Katie Martucci, David Hans, and Roberto Noel-Berman are honored in Rochester
Seniors Katharine Martucci, Roberto Noel-Berman and junior David Hans will be performing in the South Concourse at 11:30 AM for their legislators, staff, family and friends. Their performance will be the main feature of the Joseph R. Sugar NYSSMA Day in Albany and the premiere of a series of Music in Our Schools Month concerts.
This past December, these same vocalists spent four days in Rochester, New York rehearsing with students from school music programs across New YorkState. Onteora had three of the twenty-four available singing spots. Selection was based on their individual performances given last spring at the NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) Solo Music Festival. Only those with stellar scores on their solos were chosen. The All-State festival culminated with a performance in the beautiful Eastman Theater.
